Behavioral Crossroads’ staff is highly trained and licensed as a leading provider for adults in NJ for addiction and mental health services. Our clinicians come to us with varying levels of experience and are NJ State Licensed and/or supervised by Licensed staff. We adhere to strict guidelines and standards laid out by the State of New Jersey’s the Division of Mental Health and Addiction Services as well as those laid out with our agreements for our partners in commercial insurance, NJ State Fee for Service Initiatives, DCF and self insured unions. Our Master’s level clinicians are not just department heads, but also offer direct treatment. We also work very hard to maintain and foster relationships with our local Universities and Colleges to maintain local opportunities for local students.

Regional Director of Substance Abuse Services

Lori McCline is Regional Clinical Director overseeing the Behavioral Crossroads Substance Use Disorder (SUD) programs. Lori has been with Behavioral Crossroads Recovery since 2013 and has been instrumental in its continued growth and strategic evolvement. She received her B.A. in Management in 2011 and went on to obtain her Master’s degree in Addiction Counseling in 2013 from Grand Canyon University.

Tara Collins-Johnston
Clinical Program Director, Behavioral Crossroads Partial Care

Tara is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker(LCSW) specializing in working with those who have a severe and persistent mental illness. She has several years of experience in the treatment of depression, anxiety, emotional dysregulation, substance abuse, grief and panic disorders. She provides individual, group and family therapy. Her mission is to provide a safe environment for adults to be seen, feel heard and develop their own wellness toolbox necessary to live a meaningful life. She meets individuals where they are and supports them through their healing journey. She takes a person-centered perspective to working with each individual. Some of the treatment modalities that she specializes in include: Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Solution-Focused Therapy, Narrative Therapy and Mindfulness.

Jacob H. Jacoby, M.D., PhD,
Medical Director

Dr. Jacob Herman Jacoby is our Medical Director here at Behavioral Crossroads. He received his education from SUNY at Buffalo School of Medicine, and he specializes in Psychiatry and Addiction Medicine. Dr. Jacoby has certifications from the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology, the American Board of Addiction Medicine, and the American Society of Addiction Medicine. He has been with us since 2017.

Leslie Sanders, LCADC, CCS, Program Director,

Behavioral Crossroads Recovery

Leslie is the Program Director at Behavioral Crossroads Recovery (BCR). She also oversees OBAT, the APNs, and the lab. Leslie has been with Behavioral Crossroads for over five years. She obtained her CADC in April 2023 and her B.A. in Liberal Studies in May 2023. She has a Master’s degree in Addiction Counseling from Grand Canyon University.

Eric Nilson

First Responder and VA Specialist

Eric Nilson is the Behavioral Crossroads team’s First Responder and Veterans Affairs (VA) Specialist. He went to Stocken University and has a degree in Business. Eric retired after 25 years of service at the Atlantic County Justice Facility, ending his career as a Lieutenant (Shift Commander). He has been working with Bluestone Services USA as a Consultant and is directly involved with the First Responder population at Behavioral Crossroads for our trauma-informed “Firstbranch” track. He has graduated from the Correctional Police Academy and completed courses in West Point Command and Leadership and boot camp instructor classes.

Zachary Storr

Atlantic Regional Outreach and VA Liaison

Zachary is a former Probation Officer and an Acenda staff member. He completed his Bachelor’s degree from Rowan University in 2016. After graduating with a Law and Justice Degree, he was hired as a Probation officer for the State of NJ and located in Camden County, NJ. He worked there from 2017 to 2026. He left probation to work as a Peer Recovery Specialist at the Sheriff’s department in Atlantic County and then worked for Acenda as a Prevention Consultant before joining Behavioral Crossroads.

In his current role, he enjoys building relationships with other providers in the area and meeting new people. He really enjoys going out of my way and helping people get the treatment they deserve to better their future.

Michael has been the with the Crossroads Companies for 18 years. He has extensive experience in sales, marketing, and business development. He loves my career and the impact the agency has on the local community. He is part of a team that helps people every day with support and structure that allows them the tools and techniques to live their best lives.

Henry Kislin,
Atlantic County Campus Transportation and Facility Director

Henry Kislin is responsible for directing and overseeing transportation-related operations for the Egg Harbor Township Campus for and the RHCF in Pleasantville. Henry manages the staff that assists with transportation activities such as dispatching, routing, and tracking and maintenance of vehicles and ensures that they comply with safety rules and regulations. He also supervises cleaning, maintenance, and grounds staff and ensures that basic facilities, such as water and heating, are well-maintained and that facilities meet government regulations and environmental, health and security standards.

Laurel A. Vnucak, MS

Director of Human Resources

Laurel A. Vnucak, MS, has been a human resources executive, manager, and generalist for over a decade. She has a masters degree in Human Resource Training and Development and experience in various healthcare specialties, including: Substance Use Disorder Treatment and Recovery, Mental Health Treatment, Partial Care, Psychiatric Rehabilitation, Residential and Vocational Training Programs, and Gastroenterology. Laurel loves living near the shore, and in her free time enjoys swimming, the beach, traveling, and spending time with her family, friends, and dogs.

Administrative Assistant -Transportation

Lily Garfinkel is our Administrative Assistant with a focus on Transportation.Lily Garfinkel is our Administrative Assistant with a focus in transportation. She ensures that everyone arrives at and departs from the facility safely and on time, supporting the smooth operation of our daily activities.
Lily is currently working toward becoming a Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor (CADC), and is excited to be part of a facility that aligns with her passion for helping others.

Denise McCue
Access Center Specialist

Denise joined Behavioral Crossroads in the Call Center in May 2012. Her passion has always been to help those in need, especially those struggling with addiction and mental health issues. Her current role enables her to meet each person where they are and extend the opportunity for them to take one step closer to a life of recovery. She finds it very rewarding to be in a position to extend that hand which may very well save a life.

Kathleen McCann

Counselor Intern

Kathleen McCann is Counselor Intern at Behavioral Crossroads Recovery. Kathleen is a licensed clinical social worker associate with over 20 years of experience across outpatient mental health, telehealth psychotherapy, correctional behavioral health, crisis stabilization, assessment, treatment planning, group therapy, and case management.

Kathleen has worked as a Correctional Behavioral Specialist and a Correctional Case Manager at the North Carolina Department of Public Safety as well as a private therapist. She also has experience as a social worker in San Francisco.

Kathleen is skilled at working effectively with diverse populations presenting complex mental health, trauma-related, and psychosocial needs in community-based and institutional settings.
